The Google Android OS is getting increasingly popular now. More and more manufacturer launch their Android Phones to expand the phones market. And do you want to DIY your own Android Phones? Someone have released Android package running on the HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch Diamond. Although it doesn’t yet work well, it’s a good beginning. Right?
This isn’t ready for prime time yet. There is a lot of hardware support missing as I write this (e.g. no suspending or powering off, no Bluetooth, WiFi, or anything but plain GSM [GPRS, 3G, etc], no accelerometer, no sound [and no sound I/O in calls, so you can't hear or be heard], no cameras, et cetera).

Instructions about the Android package:
- Download the .rar file and extract the contents to your desktop. You should have a folder called tmp there now.
- Connect your phone to the computer with a mini-USB cable.
- copy the tmp folder to your memory card root. The tmp should then be located in [memory card]/tmp Inside the tmp folder is a boot folder. You may put that anywhere or leave it in tmp.
- Disconnect the usb-cable and soft-reset your Touch Pro.
- Open up the file explorer, find the tmp directory and launch haret.exe and click run.
- Wait for android to boot up, and enjoy! At the first boot it takes a while before the android boot screen comes up and then the boot screen (with the glowing android) stays up quite long before you get to the boot screen.
Subsequent boots are faster.

will my exisitng wm6 remain or will it be erased completely?
No! It’s a program you run off of your SD card. You boot into it and at anytime you can perform a soft reset and you will boot back to Windows Mobile.
