Verizon officially announced that the HTC DROID Eris Cell Phone will be available starting Nov. 6th for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a voice plan with an e-mail feature or e-mail plan. It’s pretty cheap, right? And the Droid Eris features:
- 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen and trackball interface
- 5.0 megapixel auto focus camera
- Expandable memory with pre-installed 8 GB microSD™ card (up to 16 GB supported)
- Supports USB mass storage
- Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi and 3.5 mm headset connectivity
- Integrated GPS and a digital compass with a sensor that enables the phone to know what direction it is facing
- Smart dialer for simplified dialing by name, number or initials
- Full HTML browser with Flash Lite capabilities
- Seamless compatibility with Google™ services like Google Maps™, Gmail™, Google Search™ and more

The HTC DROID Eris is also an android phone, and the new Droid Eris is nothing more than a rebadged version of the HTC Hero. The HTC Droid Eris offers HTC Sense UI, a 3.2 inch display, a 528MHz processor, Android 1.5 Cupcake OS, an 8GB microSD memory card. The device will be released on November 6th.

The Droid Eris looks like Sprint’s HTC Hero, right? But it seems running on Android 1.5, and faster, slightly thinner and taller. The Eris is powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm CPU. No more details are available.
