Sprint and HTC Corporation officially announced that the new HTC Hero is coming on October 11th. And the Hero runs on Google Android platform with 3G network, and also offers synchronization for built-in Google mobile services, including Google Search™, Google Maps™, Gmail™, and YouTube™ as well as access to thousands of applications built on the Android platform.
The Sprint HTC Hero will available beginning on Oct. 11 for $179.99 (excluding taxes) after a $50 instant savings and a $100 mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.

The HTC Hero is HTC’s 3rd android smartphone, and runs on Quakcomm MSM7200A processor, 528MHz. The phone has a nice size: 112×56.2×14.35 mm and weights 135 gr. The Hero features HSPA/WCDMA and Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 5.0 MP color camera with auto focus, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, HTC ExtUSB, 3.5 mm audio jack, microSD as well as 1350 mAh Li-ion battery.
