
We have known the Android Cupcakes, Donuts, and Eclairs so far. But what’s the name of the next version? Erick Tseng gave us the answer: Froyo. That’s short for “frozen yogurt” and fits right in line with the zany naming scheme. But no more details are available.

Google Android 2.1 SDK is officially released. And “Android 2.1 does not add significant user features”. You can get it from Android Developers. In addition, a new USB driver that supports Nexus One is also available now.

As an Android developer, you might have received a mail as following:
First, we have added the ability to target applications by carrier in all countries. For example, if you are showing your app in the United States, you can now choose among Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless. If your apps are intended for users of specific carriers, please go to the Android Market developer website at http://market.android.com/publish (in the Publishing Options section under Locations) and target your applications to those carriers accordingly.
It’s means that Android developers can target their apps to certain carriers. “They can log-in to the Market publishing site and make that app viewable only to that company’s subscribers. Developers can also target multiple carriers, such as Sprint and Verizon consumers, but exclude T-Mobile subscribers.” said androinica.com.
